Driver Aman Kumar Arrested in Hit-and-Run Crash on Peach Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Fresno, CA (April 30, 2026) – The authorities arrested a driver, Aman Kumar, following a hit-and-run crash on Peach Avenue Tuesday night.

The authorities said the collision happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection with Nevada Avenue.

Investigations said a 4-year-old boy was in a playing on a swing set inside a yard while his father and uncle were working on a car.

The child got out of the yard without being noticed and wandered into the bike lane of the road.

Oncoming vehicles stopped for the little boy, however, as the suspect driver approached the stopped vehicles, Kumar drove around onto the bike lane, and struck the boy.

Kumar stopped but immediately drove off.

Rescuers took the 4-year-old to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition.
