According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ravellette drove westbound when she crossed the center line near Route YY, about nine miles east of Unionville, and collided head-on with an eastbound pickup truck. The impact forced the pickup onto the shoulder, while Ravellette’s vehicle traveled down an embankment and through a fence.
Reports say that the 82-year-old pickup driver suffered serious injuries. Ravellette sustained minor injuries. Emergency crews transported both drivers to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. Troopers reported that neither driver was wearing a seat belt.
