Hemet, CA (March 20, 2025) – 81-year-old Ana De Anda of Hemet was killed early Wednesday morning in a horrific pedestrian crash on Stanford Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the deadly crash happened on Stanford Street in East Hemet.

Reports say that the 81-year-old woman lost her life after a vehicle struck her while she was walking on Stanford Street.

Authorities identified the victim, as Anda, was in the traffic lanes for unknown reasons when a Chrysler 300 hit her. The 38-year-old male driver from Hemet immediately stopped at the scene.

Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived within minutes and pronounced De Anda dead at the scene. Authorities questioned the driver but did not arrest him. Officials stated that alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the incident.
