Clairemont, CA (March 13, 2026) — The family of Andres Gallardo continues searching for answers after a hit-and-run crash in Clairemont claimed his life on March 1.

Gallardo, 43, was riding his bicycle near Ashford and Hutten Streets at about 11:30 p.m. when a vehicle struck him. According to authorities, the driver reportedly veered into the parking lane for unknown reasons and hit Gallardo before leaving the scene.

Emergency responders from the San Diego Police Department arrived shortly after the collision. Despite their efforts, Gallardo died from his injuries.
