Andres Garcia of Sunnyside Killed in DUI Crash on 131 West Parkland Drive [Sunnyside, CA]

Sunnyside, CA (August 23, 2021) – On Sunday, Andres Garcia of Sunnyside, died, and police arrested 25-year-old Raul De Robles Jr in a DUI crash on 131 West Parkland Drive.

Officers responded to the accident scene just after 11 p.m.  

When officers arrived, they discovered that a vehicle crashed completely through the north wall of a mobile home. Also, the vehicle’s crashed through the west wall.

Officers found a man outside the home and trapped under the vehicle . Investigators said the victim was sleeping inside the mobile home when it was struck by the car.  

Emergency responders rushed Garcia to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Officers said there were 4 other people in the home when the accident happened.

Moreover, the authorities arrested the car driver, De Robles Jr,  who officers say smelled strongly of alcohol.

Reports said De Robles’ breath sample showed a blood alcohol content of .181.  Additionally, De Robles admitted to driving while drunk and that he was driving between 60-65 miles an hour through the trailer court when he drove through the mobile home.

De Robles now faces charges of Vehicular Homicide.
