Hugo Ramirez and Andrew Alarcon Killed as Car Plunges Down Hillside in Deer Springs Area

 
San Diego, CA (April 03, 2021) – On Friday, two young men died after their vehicle plunged down a hillside into a ravine in the Deer Springs area.
 
The fatal solo-vehicle crash in an area of Escindido took place at around 10:30 p.m. on Lawrence Welk Court.
 
Apparently, an eastbound 2016 Toyota Scion on Lawrence Welk Court swerved off the roadway and went down an embankment.
 
Officers received calls from several people reporting that their friends’ vehicle crashed after midnight. They said the wreckage was spotted about 500 feet down a hillside.
 
When officers arrived, they found two people in the vehicle.
 
Unfortunately, officers pronounced the car’s 19-year-old driver, Hugo Alfredo Ramirez of Vista, and passenger Andrew Manriquez Alarcon, 17, dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, authorities are searching for a second vehicle that may have been involved in the incident. Similarly, they are working to track down the group of friends that made the emergency call.
 
San Diego officers said the two victims just left a nearby party when the accident, near San Marcos, happened.
