Passengers Angel Flores and Ciarra Bowerman Injured in Hatch Road Collision [Stanislaus County, CA]

Stanislaus County, CA (May 5, 2026) – Angel Flores, 25, and Ciarra Bowerman, 24, and two others were injured in a Hatch Road collision Saturday morning.

It was around 8:30 a.m. when the 2-vehicle crash happened east of Clinton Road in Hughson.

Investigators said a Hyundai driven by Jonathan Alejandro Sanchez, 22, of Hickman, was traveling in the left-turn lane while passing another vehicle at an unknown speed.

At the same time, a Mercedes driven by Sukhjinder Singh Sanghera, 55, also of Hughson, was eastbound at about 55 mph. 

Sanchez turned to the left into the eastbound lane and struck the Mercedes head-on. 

Troopers said Sanchez and his passengers, Angel Flores and Ciarra Bowerman, both from Modesto, sustained major injuries.

Investigators said Bowerman was not wearing her seatbelt during the crash and was partially ejected from the vehicle. 

Moreover, Sanghera sustained minor injuries.

CHP stated alcohol and drugs were not factors in the collision.
