Two Killed in Rollover Crash on SR-432 Near Memorial Park Drive in Longview
Longview, WA (January 20, 2026) — A single-vehicle crash on State Route 432 on Sunday afternoon left Anthony Evans and John Rodriguez dead.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened around 4:51 p.m. near Memorial Park Drive.
Authorities said a white 2008 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling westbound when it failed to navigate a curve, continued straight, left the roadway, and rolled into a nearby slough, coming to rest upside down.
The driver, 58-year-old John D. Rodriguez, and his passenger, 28-year-old Anthony S. Evans, both of Kelso, were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators noted that Rodriguez was not wearing a seatbelt, while Evans was properly restrained.
Troopers believe excessive speed contributed to the crash. Officials have not confirmed whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
Sweet Lawyers extends heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of John D. Rodriguez and Anthony S. Evans. We are deeply sorry for this tragic loss and hope those affected find strength and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
