Anthony Hinojoza Struck and Killed by Car on First Street and Portola Avenue [Livermore, CA]

1 Dead in Livermore Pedestrian Accident

LIVERMORE, CA (January 18, 2019) — A male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car on January 16 on First Street and Portola Avenue.

According to the police, the 51-year-old Anthony Hinojoza of Livermore was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred around 7:10 p.m.

Lt. John Hurd revealed that the police shut down all westbound lanes on First Street for the investigation. They stayed unavailable for around three hours.

Hurd described the weather as awful when the incident occurred. The police are still conducting an investigation. It was also noted that the vehicle driver remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the officers.
