Arnold Anderson of Peoria Dead in Vehicle Crash on El Mirage Road [Peoria, AZ]

Peoria, AZ (February 25, 2026) – 78-year-old Arnold Anderson of Peoria was killed in a vehicle crash on El Mirage Road Tuesday morning.

The deadly accident happened near Vistancia Boulevard.

Investigators said a driver parked a Toyota RAV4 on the driveway, then the driver and a passenger, Arnold Anderson, got out the vehicle. 

The passenger walked behind the vehicle to talk to a neighbor, while the driver leaned back into the RAV$ to switch off the engine but, but the vehicle rolled backwards down the driveway, striking the passenger and neighbor. 

The neighbor incurred minor injuries but the passenger was pinned underneath

Responding officers declared Arnold Anderson deceased at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver was not hurt in the accident and cooperated with the authorities.
