Pierce County, WA (June 19, 2025) — Authorities have identified 28-year-old Artanian Shaw as the pedestrian who died after a vehicle struck him in Tacoma on June 15.

The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Shaw. The collision happened around 5:28 p.m. in the 400 block of South Tacoma Way.

According to Tacoma police, a motorist struck Shaw, and responding officers found him deceased at the scene. The driver remained at the location and cooperated with investigators. No arrest was made.

The medical examiner determined that Shaw died from multiple blunt-force injuries sustained in the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
