Arthur Temple III Dies in Grand Avenue Tragic Crash [Lake Elsinore, CA]

Lake Elsinore, CA (December 1, 2023) On Sunday afternoon, 56-year-old Arthur Temple III of Lake Elsinore died, and 2 men were hurt in a tragic crash on Grand Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal wrong-way crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on the 17600 block of Grand Avenue, near Perret Boulevard.

Reports say that Temple was driving an northbound 2006 Honda Accord in the southbound lane and continued towards the southbound dirt shoulder area, where the sedan entered the shoulder area of the southbound lane and crashed head-on with an unattended parked 2015 Isuzu box truck.

The impact of the collision pushed the parked vehicle towards the back of another parked box truck, which was occupied by 2 people, a 26-year-old San Bernardino man and a 48-year-old Corona man.

Both men sustained minor injuries, while Temple was pronounced dead at the scene by Riverside County Fire Department paramedics.

Authorities are investigating the fatal wrong-way crash and have not provided further information about the incident.
