Ashley De los Santos Corona Dead in Big Rig Crash on US 287 [Iowa Park, TX]

Iowa Park, CA (April 22, 2026) – Ashley De los Santos Corona, 31, of Thomasville, Georgia, was killed in a traffic accident on US 287 Saturday.

It was just past midnight on April 18 when the deadly solo-vehicle crash happened near mile marker 326.

Police said a 2020 Peterbilt tractor was towing a Wilson semi-trailer on southeast freeway, wherein extremely strong crosswinds caused the vehicle to lose control. 

The big rig swerved to the right, and overcorrected to the left. As a result, the tractor and trailer then rolled on the passenger side and hit a guardrail before it became entangled.

Responding officers declared the big rig’s driver, Joshua Brad Sneed, 43, of Banks, Alabama, and the passenger, Ashley De los Santos Corona, deceased at the scene.

In the meantime, DPS is conducting a further investigation into the accident.
