Los Alamos, NM (July 2, 2025) – Minor injuries were reported after a crash at East/West Jemez involving a sedan and an Atomic City Transit Bus.

At approximately 10:35 a.m. on July 2, the Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) responded to a reported traffic collision involving a sedan and an Atomic City Transit Bus near the guard shack at East/West Jemez.

The crash resulted in minor injuries, and emergency personnel from LAPD, the Los Alamos Fire Department, and Los Alamos National Laboratory quickly arrived at the scene to assist.

Due to the size of the transit bus, officials anticipate delays in the area until the vehicle can be towed and the scene fully cleared.

LAPD expects cleanup to be completed by around 2 p.m. and thanks drivers for their patience during the disruption.
