Two Injured in Crash on Alameda Avenue and Peoria Street in Denver
Denver, CO (March 20, 2026) – Two people sustained injuries in a crash on Alameda Avenue on Friday morning.
A driver was arrested in Aurora early Friday morning after he allegedly fled a traffic stop at Alameda Avenue and Peoria Street, according to the Aurora Police Department.
Police said the driver fled westbound on Alameda just after 5 a.m. The officer chose not to pursue the vehicle, and it later crashed into another car at Havana Street.
According to APD, the suspect tried to flee the crash but was injured and taken into custody by responding officers. Police said officers took him to the hospital for medical clearance before taking him to jail.
Authorities also said another person in a different vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
APD said the vehicle was not stolen and that a passenger remained in the vehicle when the driver allegedly tried to flee.
Police had not released the driver’s identity or any possible charges as of this writing.
