EL PASO, TX (July 22, 2023) – Friday, a horrific auto accident on 10400 Gateway East Boulevard and Nuevo Hueco Tanks Road.

The incident occurred in the 10400 block of Gateway East Boulevard and Nuevo Hueco Tanks Road.

According to reports, the crash involved two vehicles.

Apparently, a white Nissan Altima headed east in the center lane. Then, it rear-ended a white Chevrolet pickup truck.

After the crash, responders transported both drivers to Del Sol Medical Center.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.

Also, the Nissan Altima driver, 24-year-old Gabriel Magana, succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

According to the deputies, speed, and intoxication might have played a role in the crash.

Officers confirmed that the crash, marked the sixth fatality this year in El Paso.
