SAN DIEGO, CA (January 12, 2026) – Saturday night, a crippling auto-pedestrian crash on 2300 El Cajon Boulevard injured one person.

The incident happened at around 9:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of El Cajon Boulevard.

According to the San Diego Police Department, a westbound 2007 Mercedes-Benz S550 struck a 36-year-old male pedestrian who was crossing the roadway outside a marked crosswalk.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital with a partial amputation of his foot.

Officers confirmed that the pedestrian was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
