Tragic Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Alisal Street Kills Man [Salinas, CA]

Salinas Police Investigates East Alisal Street Pedestrian Accident

Salinas, CA (September 6, 2023) On Monday evening, a 30-year-old Hispanic man died after an auto-pedestrian crash on Alisal Street.

According to the Salinas Police Department, the pedestrian accident happened around 8:28 p.m. on East Alisal near the Foods Co parking lot.

Reports say that a 23-year-old man, driving a westbound vehicle failed to see the male pedestrian crossing the street.

Authorities pronounced the man dead at the scene, while the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.

Police are investigating the fatal pedestrian accident and have not released further information at this time.
