1 Person Dead in Oxnard Pedestrian Accident on Oxnard Boulevard and Gonzales Road

OXNARD, CA (April 29, 2025) – On Saturday, Avelino Orozco died in a fatal pedestrian crash on Oxnard Boulevard and Gonzales Road.

The incident happened at the intersection of Oxnard Boulevard and Gonzales Road.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, an eastbound vehicle entered the intersection and struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway outside a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, responders rushed the pedestrian, identified as 60-year-old Orozco who was described as a flower vendor, to Ventura County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead the next day.

Furthermore, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
