14-Year-Old Dies Days After E-Bike Crash in Snohomish County

Snohomish County, WA (August 13, 2026) — 14-year-old Beau Heitmann died four days after a serious e-bike collision with a car in Snohomish County, Washington.

The crash happened around 4:25 p.m. near 184th Street Southeast and 36th Avenue Southeast, close to Mill Creek. Deputies found Heitmann in the roadway with severe injuries.

Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue treated Heitmann at the scene before taking him to Providence Regional Medical Center. Doctors later transferred him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he died on Aug. 9.

Investigators said a Toyota Camry was traveling along 184th Street Southeast when Heitmann’s e-bike entered the roadway from 36th Avenue Southeast and collided with the vehicle. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Detectives do not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.

Heitmann had recently graduated from eighth grade and was a multi-sport athlete. His family and friends are now mourning his loss, while an online fundraiser has received significant community support for medical and funeral expenses. Heitmann also became an organ donor, allowing his legacy to continue by helping others.
