Bennett Eugene Eutsy Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Glendale Intersection

Glendale, AZ (May 20, 2025) — A four-vehicle crash in Glendale claimed the life of 40-year-old Bennett Eugene Eutsy and injured two others Sunday afternoon.

The collision happened near 67th Avenue and Utopia Road and involved a box truck, a minivan, and two other vehicles.

According to Glendale police, a woman driving an SUV made an unsafe lane change in the southbound lanes, causing her vehicle to sideswipe another car. That impact led the second vehicle to collide with a large box truck.

Investigators said the box truck then lost control, crossed through the intersection into opposing traffic, and crashed into two additional vehicles.

One of those vehicles, a sedan driven by Eutsy, sustained severe damage. Emergency crews pronounced Eutsy dead at the scene.

The drivers of the other involved vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police said investigators found no signs of impairment contributing to the crash. Authorities also responded to a separate pedestrian-related crash in the same area around the same time.
