Vancouver Resident Bethany Moyer Jailed in DUI crash on Interstate 5 [Clark County, WA]

Clark County, WA (January 24, 2026) – The authorities arrested Bethany Moyer, 35, of Vancouver, following a DUI crash on Interstate 5 Thursday evening.

The vehicle crash happened before 6 p.m. on the northbound near milepost 19.

WSP officers said Moyer was driving north with two babies, ages 4 months and 20 months, in the car when she crossed lanes and crashed into the other SUV. 

Troopers said Moyer overcorrected, struck the right shoulder embankment and the SUV rested on its side, facing the wrong way.

According to the investigators, both babies were in child car seats, but the child seats were not properly belted onto the car seats. 

Rescuers rushed both babies to the hospital with minor injuries.

Paramedics also took Moyer to the hospital before being jailed on charges of DUI and child endangerment.

Moreover, the 54-year-old Longview man who was driving the SUV was not injured in the collision.
