Beverly Doak Grimes Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Parkwood Boulevard [Plano, TX]

Plano, TX (April 29, 2026) – Beverly Doak Grimes, 72, of Plano, was fatally hit by a vehicle on Parkwood Boulevard Monday evening.

It was past 7 p.m. on April 27 when the fatal accident happened at the 3300 block area.

According to the accident report, a green Subaru Crosstrek was northbound when the victim crossed midblock while attempting to catch her dog.

The front right of the vehicle struck Grimes, who incurred severe head trauma. 

Immediately, paramedics responded to the scene and initiated lifesaving measures, but Grimes died at the scene.

Moreover, Plano Animal Services has secured the victim’s dog.

Police said speed and intoxication did not play a role in the collision.
