Fatal Bicycle Crash on Northeast 49th Street Claims a Life [Vancouver, WA]

Vancouver, WA (August 7, 2025) – A fatal bicycle crash on Northeast 49th Street claimed the life of a bicyclist Tuesday morning.

According to Vancouver Police, the crash happened around 8:40 a.m. at the intersection with Northeast 127th Avenue. Reports say that the bicyclist was struck by a van under still-unclear circumstances.

When officers arrived, they found the cyclist lying in the roadway while bystanders attempted CPR. Paramedics quickly responded and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim. The investigation remains ongoing.
