HALLSBURG, TX (February 8, 2026) – Friday night, a bicyclist sustained injuries in an alarming hit-and-run crash on FM 2957 near Pep Club Road.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. on FM 2957 near Pep Club Toad, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

A Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound struck a bicyclist and left the scene.

Officers later located the driver, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The bicyclist was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
