STOCKTON, CA (May 7, 2025) – Early Monday morning, a bicyclist died in a brutal hit-and-run crash on Highway 99 near East Frontage Road.

The incident occurred just east of Highway 99, near East Frontage Road.

According to CHP, a 56-year-old man was riding his bicycle eastbound on Jahant Road when he was struck from behind by an unidentified vehicle. The impact threw him into an irrigation ditch, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle involved fled, and officials are asking anyone with information to contact the CHP Stockton Office at (209) 938-4800.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
