Richardson, TX (April 4, 2026) – Phil Balli, a bicyclist, was fatally injured following a Custer Pkwy accident Tuesday.

The deadly crash happened on March 24 near the intersection with Renner Trail.

Troopers said Balli, who was an active member of multiple local cycling clubs, was doing his weekly Pop Ride when he was hit by a vehicle.

According to the accident report, the group of bicyclist was riding together when a driver sped through the lane, and struck Balli and another cyclist, just 50 yards to the end line.

Richardson police is conducting a further investigation.
