Bicyclist Tom Fawcett Killed in Hit-And-Run Crash on Guadalupe River Trail [San Jose, CA]

61-Year-Old Tom Fawcett Identified as Man Killed in Bicycle Accident in North San Jose

 
San Jose, CA (June 5, 2020) – On Thursday, Tom Fawcett died after a crash involving three bicyclists shortly before 5 p.m. on the Guadalupe River Trail, underneath Tasman Drive.
 
The incident occurred when a bicyclist crashed into Mr. Fawcett and another bicyclist, before speeding off.
The other bicyclist is not yet identified, but Sgt. Enrique Garcia of the San Jose Police Department said she is a 59-year-old woman.
 
Subsequently, both bicyclists were taken to the hospital.
 
Unfortunately, Tom Fawcett died later died from the severity of the injuries he sustained.
 
The suspect the police are looking for is described as possibly Latino, in his 30s and 5″7 to 5″9 tall, with his hair in a pony tail.
