Big Rig Collision on Highway 12 Under Investigation [Walla Walla, WA]

Walla Walla, WA (September 17, 2026) — A driver died, and two passengers under 18 suffered serious injuries after a traffic collision on Highway 12.

The Washington State Patrol said the crash happened around 8:36 a.m. near Interchange Road at milepost 342. The sedan was traveling west when it crossed into the eastbound lanes for an unknown reason and struck the semi.

The sedan’s driver died at the scene. Emergency crews took the two underage passengers to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The semi-truck driver escaped unharmed.
