Red Bluff, CA (June 7, 2025) — On Thursday evening, a fatal collision on Highway 99W involving a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle forced the closure of the highway north of Riverside Avenue near Red Bluff before authorities later reopened the roadway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 5:45 p.m. and prompted an extended closure as emergency crews worked at the scene and investigators examined the circumstances.

CAL FIRE Tehama-Glenn Unit responded alongside multiple fire engines, medic teams, and other personnel. Red Bluff police also assisted with traffic control while crews managed the scene and cleared debris.
