Two Victorville Siblings Injured in Hit-and-Run Boating Collision on Colorado River
Bullhead City, AZ (September 9, 2025) – A hit-and-Run boating crash on Colorado River left two siblings hospitalized with serious injuries.
According to authorities, the frightening collision happened around 2 p.m. on near the Davis Camp launch ramp.
Authorities said a 16-year-old boy was operating a personal watercraft (PWC) with his 10-year-old sister as a passenger when another PWC struck them from behind.
The impact threw the girl into the water and left her brother with severe leg injuries. Deputies reported that the other watercraft continued downstream without stopping to help.
Rescue crews transported both children to a hospital in Las Vegas. The teen was first taken to a local facility by ambulance before being airlifted for further treatment, while his sister was admitted for observation. Both were later discharged and are now recovering at home in Victorville, though they will require ongoing medical and emotional care.
Family members said the children remembered seeing two males on the other PWC just before the crash, with one wearing a light blue long-sleeve shirt. Investigators are asking anyone who may have photos, videos, or information about the incident to contact the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at (928) 753-0753, referencing DR#25-032858.
