Police Investigate Crash Near Moscone Park Crosswalk in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 15, 2026)— A 2-year-old boy and his nanny suffered injuries after a vehicle struck them in a crash near Moscone Park.
The crash, captured on dashcam video, has prompted the child’s family to call for stronger pedestrian safety measures in the area.
According to a police report, the driver failed to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk. The vehicle struck the nanny and the child, who was in a stroller at the time.
The boy’s mother, Lindsey Kinder, said the impact knocked the stroller upside down. She also said several other children were in the crosswalk nearby when the crash happened.
Other nannies in the area rushed to help the injured pair after the collision.
The nanny suffered facial wounds. Kinder said she remains concerned about the emotional impact on her son, who has continued referring to the stroller after the crash.
Kinder has created a GoFundMe to help support the nanny’s recovery costs. The family is also urging San Francisco officials to install additional safety measures near the park, including a raised crosswalk and improved lighting.
KRON reported that it reached out to city leaders about the family’s safety requests but had not received a response.
