17-Year-Old Braun Levi Dies in Tragic DUI Crash Near Sepulveda Boulevard [Manhattan Beach, CA]

Manhattan Beach, CA (May 05, 2025) -A suspected DUI driver fatally struck 17-year-old high school senior Braun Levi early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, the fatal incident happened at approximately 12:45 a.m. near Sepulveda Boulevard and Ronda Drive.

Reports say that 33-year-old Jenia Belt allegedly hit Levi as he walked with a friend.

Responding officers found Levi lying next to Belt’s damaged vehicle. Paramedics transported him to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

Authorities arrested Belt at the scene and booked her on suspicion of DUI causing injury and murder. Police say her vehicle showed significant front-end damage and a shattered windshield.

Levi, a senior at Loyola High School, was the captain of the tennis team and planned to attend the University of Virginia after graduation. Friends, family, and community members have created a growing memorial at the crash site and held a vigil in his honor.
