Brianna Yatziri Saucedo and Jonathan Tellez-Sosa Dead in Texan Road Collision [Hidalgo County, TX]

Hidalgo County, TX (August 16, 2026) – Brianna Yatziri Saucedo, 19, of Mission, and Jonathan Tellez-Sosa, 25, of Penitas, were killed in a Texan Road collision Friday evening.

The fatal crash between two vehicles happened at 9:26 p.m. south of Freedom Avenue.

Investigators said a blue Ford Fusion driven by Jonathan Tellez-Sosa, 25, of Penitas, with a male passenger was southbound on Texan Road, when a silver Chevrolet Malibu, driven by a man with a female passenger, was traveling north and collided head-on with the Ford.

Sadly, the rescuers confirmed Tellez-Sosa, and as Brianna Yatziri Saucedo, 19, of Mission, a passenger in the Malibu, were killed in the crash.

The Malibu’s driver and the Fusion’s passenger sustained critical injuries. Both of them were transported to South Texas Health System McAllen.

In the meantime, the authorities are conducting a further investigation into the fatal crash.
