WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX (June 30, 2026) – Monday afternoon, a driver died in a brutal 18-wheeler crash on State Highway 130 and Chandler Road.

The incident involving an 18-wheeler and another vehicle happened on State Highway 130 and Chandler Road.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a tractor-trailer went off an overpass and crashed onto State Highway 130 after colliding with an Audi SUV.

A preliminary investigation found that the Audi attempted to make a left turn and collided with the 18-wheeler, causing the truck to leave the overpass. The truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Audi’s driver and two children were transported to a local hospital with possible injuries.

All southbound lanes of State Highway 130 at Chandler Road were closed following the crash. The Round Rock Police Department said eastbound traffic was being diverted to southbound County Road 110. At the same time, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office reported that the intersection of State Highway 130 and FM 1431/University Boulevard was also closed.

Authorities said the roadways were expected to remain closed for an extended period as the investigation continued, and motorists were urged to use alternate routes.
