Driver Killed in Brutal 2-Vehicle Crash near Midkiff Road

1 Dead in Midland Auto Accident near Midkiff Road and Industrial Avenue

MIDLAND, TX (April 15, 2026) – Tuesday afternoon, a driver died in a brutal 2-vehicle crash near Midkiff Road and Industrial Avenue.

The incident involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle happened near Midkiff Road and Industrial Avenue.

The Midland Police Department said one driver was killed in the crash.

According to reports, the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. when a Ford F-250 traveling south on Midkiff Road collided with a northbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was attempting to turn left in front of the truck.

The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said notification of next of kin is still pending.

Southbound lanes of Midkiff Road were shut down at Bankhead Highway, along with portions of Industrial Avenue, but have since reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
