1 Dead in Santa Paula Auto Accident on 11400 Foothill Road

SANTA PAULA, CA (October 8, 2025) – Monday, a 51-year-old woman died in a brutal 2-vehicle crash on 11400 Foothill Road.

The incident happened just before 6:00 a.m. on 11400 Foothill Road, said Sgt. Mike Untalan.

A fatal crash east of the Del Sol Community neighborhood in Ventura left one woman dead and another injured, authorities said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Dodge Caravan was heading west on Foothill Road with a Nissan Kicks following several car lengths behind. The Dodge, driven by a man with a female passenger, slowed to make a U-turn into the eastbound lane when the Nissan failed to slow down and struck it. The SUV then veered into a ditch.

The 51-year-old woman driving the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. The Dodge’s passenger, a 32-year-old woman from Santa Paula, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Dodge was not hurt and stayed at the scene.

CHP officials said drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash. Both directions of Foothill Road between Wells and Aliso Canyon roads were temporarily closed during the investigation.
