1 Dead in Southlake Bicycle Accident on 100 Davis Boulevard
SOUTHLAKE, TX (August 4, 2023) – Thursday morning, a brutal bicycle crash on 100 Davis Boulevard killed 1 person.
The incident happened just before 9:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Davis Boulevard.
Police and fire crews responded to a report of a white Chevrolet pickup truck hitting a 12-year-old female pedestrian riding a bike.
Witnesses revealed that as the truck traveled north on Davis Boulevard, the girl rode her bike on the sidewalk in the same direction. However, as the truck veered right into a private drive, it collided with the bicyclist.
After the crash, responders took the bicyclist to Baylor Scott & White in Grapevine in critical condition. However, she succumbed to her injuries at approximately 10:15 a.m. Her identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.
Furthermore, the roadway around the crash scene has reopened.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
