Kings County, CA (August 27, 2025) — A brutal collision near 15th Avenue Monday evening claimed the life of a Chevrolet Trailblazer driver after the vehicle overturned into a cornfield.

According to authorities, the fatal crash happened around 6 p.m. near 15th Avenue and Grangeville Boulevard.

Reports say that a Chevy driver failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a Toyota Camry traveling eastbound.

The impact caused the Toyota to spin out and stop upright, while the Chevy rolled over and landed on its roof in a cornfield.

First responders pronounced the Chevy driver dead at the scene. The Toyota driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities confirmed that alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
