1 Person Dead in New Braunfels Auto Accident on 2500 FM 725

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX (September 14, 2026) – Saturday night, officers arrested Alejandro Aguillen Acosta and Rafael Alejandro Arreguin-Ramirez after a brutal head-on crash on 2500 FM 725.

The incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. in the 2500 block of FM 725.

According to reports, a pickup truck and a sedan collided head-on in the area.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 27-year-old male driver of the sedan dead at the scene. Then, paramedics arrested the driver of the pickup, identified as Rafael Alejandro Arreguin-Ramirez for intoxication manslaughter and aggravated assault charges and his passenger, Alejandro Aguillen Acosta, for evading arrest or detention and criminal trespass of a habitation.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remain unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the NBPD Traffic Unit continued its investigation into the crash.
