1 Dead in Hesperia Auto Accident on Summit Valley Road and Cataba Road

HESPERIA, CA (November 20, 2025) – Tuesday afternoon, a person died in a brutal head-on crash on Summit Valley Road and Cataba Road.

The incident involving two vehicles happened just after 4:30 p.m. on Summit Valley Road and Cataba Road.

According to the CHP traffic log, an older white SUV was heading along Summit Valley Road when its movements caused the driver of a black Nissan Armada to swerve. The Nissan’s driver lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a dark gray Honda Accord.

The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene shortly before 5 p.m.

The white SUV did not stop after the incident and was last seen continuing west on Highway 138 from Summit Valley.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
