Brutal Hit-and-Run Crash on East 7th Street Injures 2 [Austin, TX]

Austin, TX (May 15, 2025) Early Sunday morning, 2 pedestrians were hurt and hospitalized after a violent hit-and-run crash on East 7th Street.

According to Austin police, the frightening crash happened at around 5 a.m. in the 700 block of East 7th Street near the I-35 service road.

Porlice are investigating the hit-and-run crash that left two pedestrians hospitalized in downtown Austin.

Emergency responders transported both victims to Dell Seton Medical Center, where one remains in critical condition and has been declared brain dead due to severe brain trauma. The second victim is in stable condition with a broken leg.

Authorities reported that the driver fled the scene, and no suspects have been identified. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
