SAN JOSE, CA (January 27, 2026) – Sunday night, a man died in a brutal hit-and-run crash on South Bascom Avenue near Borello Drive.

The incident happened at 6:03 p.m. on South Bascom Avenue near Borello Drive.

San Jose police found a man injured by a vehicle outside a marked crosswalk. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead; his identity will be released after next of kin are notified.

No motorist has been identified.
