Rider Killed in Brutal Motorcycle Crash on Burma Road

1 Dead in Oakland Motorcycle Accident on Burma Road and Maritime Street

OAKLAND, CA (May 19, 2026) – Saturday night, a 61-year-old rider died in a brutal motorcycle crash on Burma Road and Maritime Street.

The incident involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck happened on Burma Road and Maritime Street, near the Port of Oakland.

According to the initial police report, a motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Maritime Street when he collided with a semi-truck that was turning northbound onto the same street. Authorities said the rider struck the trailer and became pinned underneath it.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was not injured.

Police said it is not yet known whether alcohol or drugs were factors.
