Man Killed in Brutal Motorcycle Crash on El Cajon Boulevard

1 Dead in San Diego Motorcycle Accident on El Cajon Boulevard and 56th Street

SAN DIEGO, CA (May 17, 2026) – Friday afternoon, a 28-year-old man died in a brutal motorcycle crash on El Cajon Boulevard and 56th Street.

The incident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle happened just after 1:00 p.m. on El Cajon Boulevard and 56th Street.

According to the San Diego Police Department, a 22-year-old woman was driving a Toyota sedan westbound on El Cajon Boulevard when she made a left turn onto 56th Street.

At the same time, a 28-year-old man riding a motorcycle eastbound collided with the front passenger side of the Toyota. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police said both drivers had a circular green traffic signal at the time of the crash.

The woman was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. SDPD said alcohol was not a factor, and its Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
