Woman Killed in Brutal Pedestrian Crash near Fourth Street

1 Dead in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident near Fourth Street and Ximeno Avenue

LONG BEACH, CA (March 26, 2026) – Tuesday afternoon, a woman died in a brutal pedestrian crash near Fourth Street and Ximeno Avenue.  

The incident happened at about 1:00 p.m. near Fourth Street and Ximeno Avenue, said the Long Beach Police Department.

Police said a woman was walking in a marked crosswalk when she was struck and killed by a vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her identity was withheld pending notification of family members.

Authorities said the 53-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. Investigators do not believe speed, drugs, alcohol, or distraction were factors in the crash.
