PHOENIX, AZ (October 1, 2026) – Tuesday night, a person died in a brutal pedestrian crash near Grand Avenue and Indian School Road.

The incident occurred at about 8:00 p.m. near Grand Avenue and Indian School Road.

Fire crews found the man injured at the scene and took him to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police said the driver of the car involved remained at the scene.

Indian School Road was closed in both directions while detectives investigated the crash.
