1 Dead in Ventura Pedestrian Accident near Harbor Boulevard and Spinnaker Drive

VENTURA, CA (May 31, 2026) – Friday night, a man died in a brutal pedestrian crash near Harbor Boulevard and Spinnaker Drive.

The incident happened at about 9:15 p.m. near Harbor Boulevard and Spinnaker Drive, according to a department news release.

Officers responded and found a man in his late 50s suffering major injuries after being struck by a vehicle.

Despite efforts by officers and emergency medical personnel, the man “succumbed to his injuries” and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the man was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on Harbor Boulevard. Cmdr. Tim Ferrill said the female driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Based on a preliminary review, police said drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the driver’s condition.
