1 Dead in Harris County Pedestrian Accident on 10500 North Freeway

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (November 18, 2025) – Monday, a person died in a brutal pedestrian crash on 10500 North Freeway.

The incident happened at about 6:00 a.m. in the 10500 block of the North Freeway.

METRO Police said the pedestrian was walking in the HOV lane when the bus hit him. The driver was able to move the bus out of the lane afterward.

The pedestrian died at the scene. The driver was taken to a hospital as a precaution because of distress.

All nine passengers on the bus were interviewed and later transferred to other buses.

The HOV lane remains closed from Parramatta to West Road while the investigation continues.
