SAN ANTONIO, TX (January 18, 2026) – Friday night, a 36-year-old woman died in a brutal pedestrian crash on 11800 Bandera Road.

The incident happened just before 9:30 p.m. in the 11800 block of Bandera Road.

Police said a woman was struck and killed after walking into oncoming traffic outside of a marked crosswalk, according to a preliminary report.

Investigators said a white four-door sedan hit the woman. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police. The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died, San Antonio police said.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
